Robbie Marshall

Robbie Marshall

Development Officer

Robbie has been in post since 2007. A keen angler himself Robbie enjoys mainly trout fishing and has represented both Ulster and Ireland in various competitions, he also has had the honour of Captaining both of these teams over the years.

Robbie believes in good water quality and excellent habitat then lets nature take it’s course with regard to fish populations.

Chairman

Jim Haughey is the Federation Chairman and has been a Director since 1982. He served on the old Fisheries Conservancy Board for a number of years and is presently a member of the DCAL Salmon and Inland Fisheries Advisory Forum and Loughs Agency Advisory Forum. Jim was a partner in a Building Services Consulting Engineering business for 20 years before retirement. He is Chairman of the North Atlantic Salmon Fund (NI) which he set up with Newell McCreight in the early 1990s, and was an integral part of the first DCAL salmon net buyout in 2001. He enjoys both salmon and trout fishing and sees the maintenance of good habitat as one of the cornerstones of fisheries conservation.

Active Clubs Development Officer Angling

As the Angling Active Clubs Officer for the governing bodies of Angling in Northern Ireland (Ulster Angling Federation) & (National Course Fishing Federation Ireland Ulster Branch) funded by Sport NI and supported by Outdoor Recreation NI, I am looking forward further evolving my new role of supporting and working with all the angling clubs in Northern Ireland.
As Active Clubs Officer I will be supporting all angling clubs and their officers with; advice, information, and guidance and to identify and deliver training and programmes to make their angling club even stronger in 2016 to enable accessible and sustainable participation opportunities through their club
