The following meetings were attended;
4th Randalstown, Met with members of the local club at the river to discuss a proposed new hydro.
23rd Carrickfergus, Acted as adjudicator for the World Junior Fly Fishing Championships.
25th Belfast, Meeting with NIEA to discuss sand dredging in Lough Neagh.
25th Belfast, Attended a PAW meeting to learn about the up to date position on wildlife crime.
Correspondence / E-mails
E-mail to Inler Club about proposed habitat improvements for a portion of the river which will be carried out by DCAL and Rivers Agency.
E-mail to Mark Livingston about the delay in sorting out Clark’s hydro.
Letter to Waterways Ireland about the proposed new Lough Erne bye-laws.
E-mail to Aidan Cassidy of DCAL about the damage cormorants are doing to our smolt runs.
E-mail to Seamus Connor about the lack of regulation over hydro installations.
Discussions with

NOTICE FOR CLUB SECRETARIES
Poaching
Please ensure any potential poaching issues or information is forwarded to the Federation Development Officer as set out in the forms re-issued in July 11.
Private Water Bailiffs
It has come to the attention of the Federation that the court service are applying the charge of £100 for the appointment or renewal of Private Water Bailiffs. These charges are in line with the guidelines, however in the interim clubs should make one application for all renewals and appointments in this way clubs may only be charged the one fee. The Federation are still in discussions with the various authorities to try and resolve the issue.
