1st, Newry, Chairman attended meeting of the Loughs Agency Advisory Forum
2nd Islandmagee, Attended a meeting of Larne Lough Storage to hear the developments to date on the project.
2nd Portadown, Chairman, along with Directors Allan Kilgore and Gary Houston attended a sub-committee meeting of the DCAL Salmon and Inland Fisheries Forum on Amendments to the Fisheries Act
2nd Portadown, Chairman, along with Directors Allan Kilgore and Gary Houston attended a meeting of the DCAL Salmon and Inland Fisheries Forum.
3rd Lisburn, Attended the monthly Directors meeting
7th Derry, Chairman attended meeting with Loughs Agency, NIEA Natural Heritage, and Roe Angling Association regarding the application of the Habitats Directive, for example to enhancement work on the River Roe, and hydroelectricity.
14th Loughmacrory, Chairman attended meeting of Upper Foyle (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group
16th Newry, Allan Kilgore, Director and Honorary Secretary, attended meeting of Carlingford and Mourne (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group
17th Ballygally, Tom Lavelle, Director, attended meeting of Bush and Glens (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group
17th Irvinestown, Meeting of Fermanagh clubs and DCAL to discuss the management plan for Lough Erne.
22nd Antrim, Attended a meeting of the Dollaghan Trust.
24th Belfast, Meeting with Chairman to discuss outstanding issues.
24th Comber, Attended the Strangford & Lecale (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group meeting.
31st Belfast, Attended an information session organised by NIEL on the recent Challenge Fund.
Correspondence / E-mails
E-Mail to Bob Davidson for an update on the sand dredging in Lough Neagh.
E-mail to all clubs about the new challenge fund.
E-mail to Mike McClure for an update on the review of angling in NI.
Further e-mail to clubs for their number of Private Water Bailiffs.
Submission by e-mail to NIEA (Marine Divison) on the monitoring plans for the Islandmagee Gas Storage project.
Further e-mail to clubs about buffer strips which would fall under the new Challenge Scheme.
E-mail to Mead Insurance regarding the possibility of pollution cover for all clubs.
Letter to Aidan Cassidy DCAL about the proposed tidal energy at Torr Head and the issue of salmon runs.
Submission to Loughs Agency on Proposed Foyle area and Carlingford area (licensing of fishing engines) regulations 2013

NOTICE FOR CLUB SECRETARIES
Poaching
Please ensure any potential poaching issues or information is forwarded to the Federation Development Officer as set out in the forms re-issued in July 11.
Private Water Bailiffs
It has come to the attention of the Federation that the court service are applying the charge of £100 for the appointment or renewal of Private Water Bailiffs. These charges are in line with the guidelines, however in the interim clubs should make one application for all renewals and appointments in this way clubs may only be charged the one fee. The Federation are still in discussions with the various authorities to try and resolve the issue.
