The following meetings were attended;
1st Lisnaskea, attended the Lough Erne Working Group.
1st Lisburn, Chairman and other directors attended the monthly UAF Directors meeting.
7th Belfast, Attended ‘Partnership for Action Against Wildlife Crime ‘ (PAW) Steering Group meeting chaired by DOENI Minister Mark Durkan.
7th Belfast, attended with Chairman a meeting with Sport NI, DCALNI Inland Fisheries, and Loughs Agency about an electronic system for angling licences etc.
8th Hillsborough, attended seminar at NIEA on the effect of discharges on water quality.
8th Enniskillen, Attended the Erne & Melvin (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group meeting.
14th Belfast attended with Chairman a meeting at Sport NI regarding Angling Development.
15th Moy, Attended the Upper Neagh Bann (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group meeting.
16th Ballycastle, Chairman, attended a site meeting with Ballycastle Angling Association regarding hydroelectricity issues on the River Carey.
19th Newry, Attended the Carlingford & Mourne (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group meeting.
20th Belfast, Meeting with Chairman to discuss outstanding issues.
19th Newtownabbey, Chairman attended the Belfast Lough & Lagan (Water Framework Directive) Catchment Stakeholder Group meeting.
20th Belfast, Chairman and Director Gary Houston met with DCALNI Inland Fisheries to discuss revisions to the 1966 Fisheries Act.
29th Antrim, attended the DARDNI Nitrates Action Programme Stakeholder Meeting.

30 May; Submission to DARD on the EU Common Agricultural Policy Reform: Cross – Compliance.
Discussions with
Ian Watters from the Shimna Club about a hydroelectric scheme on the Leitrim River.
Background research work on the following: -
Hydroelectric schemes; it is vital that clubs monitor developments in their area. Whilst the Federation is not opposed to all hydroelectric schemes, it is apparent that Licence conditions being applied by NIEA will not be sufficient to protect rivers, and need to be improved.

NOTICE FOR CLUB SECRETARIES
Poaching
Please ensure any potential poaching issues or information is forwarded to the Federation Development Officer as set out in the forms re-issued in July 11.
Private Water Bailiffs (PWB)
The court service are applying the charge of £100 for the appointment or renewal of Private Water Bailiffs. These charges are in line with the court guidelines, however in the interim clubs should make one application for all renewals and appointments in this way clubs may only be charged the one fee. Please see recent e-mail, clubs may claim back court expenses from DCAL for up to 5 PWB. This is backdated from 1st April 2013.
