The following meetings were attended;
2nd Drogheda, Chairman attended meeting of the Countryside Alliance Ireland
4th Cookstown, With Chairman attended a meeting of the Angling Forum for N Ireland.
4th Lisburn, Attended the monthly Directors meeting.
5th Belfast, Meeting hosted by NICVA on the proposed budget cuts relating to DCAL.
10th Belfast, Chairman attended meeting with Chairman of Faughan Angling Association.
10th Portadown, Chairman with Directors Allan Kilgore and Gary Houston attended the meeting of the DCAL Salmon and Inland Fisheries Advisory Forum
17th Belfast, Chairman attended meeting with Sport NI and Outdoor Recreation NI regarding appointment of Active Clubs Development Officer.
Correspondence / E-mails .
Submissions on the proposed budget cuts to the following Departments DCAL, DARD, DOE and Department of Finance and Personnel.
E-mail to all clubs on the draft Lough Erne Management Plan, and draft Lough Neagh Management Plan.
E-mail to the following clubs Armagh, Coleraine, Holywood, Bangor and Mid Antrim about the up to date position with DCAL and N I Water on taking over reservoirs from N I Water.
E-mail to Danny Kinahan about the sand extraction barges on Lough Neagh.
Discussions with
Alan Morrow of DARD regarding his giving a talk on environmental issues and agriculture, including buffer strips along river banks, etc. at the UAF AGM.
NOTICE FOR CLUB SECRETARIES
Poaching
Please ensure any potential poaching issues or information is forwarded to the Federation Development Officer as set out in the forms re-issued in July 11.
Private Water Bailiffs (PWB)
Please see recent e-mail, clubs may claim back court expenses from DCAL for up to 5 PWB. This is backdated from 1st April 2013.
Slurry Spreading
As you may be aware the closed season for slurry spreading began on the 16th October until 31st January any breach of this directive should be reported on the pollution hotline 0800 80 70 60
